Do you get any error messages at this point when you open TomTom Home? - Hopefully these steps should resolve a majority of the issues encountered when starting TomTom Home and getting the "HOMEruntime.exe failed with error 0: Process failed to start up correctly" error message. Do you get any error messages at this point? - Connect your TomTom to one of the USB ports on the back of your PC - Switch the TomTom on. STEP 3 Install TomTom Home 2.3 - Click on - You will now be prompted to download and install TomTom Home 2.3 - Once Installed, please reboot your PC STEP 4 Open TomTom Home - Open TomTom Home without the device connected. Perform the following: type the following three lines in to the Command window: %SystemDrive% cd "%ProgramFiles%\TomTom HOME 2" xulrunner\HOMERuntime.exe -app xul\application.ini To avoid having to type these lines every time you start HOME: Right-click your desktop and choose New > Text Document - enter the commands provided above and then save the file as RunTTH.bat copy this file to the TomTom HOME 2 folder in C:\Program Files (you will require Administrator rights to do this) in the Start menu, right click on the TomTom HOME 2 icon.
